BEAC Members Weigh In On Program Activities

With the new school year  just around the corner, our Business-Education Advisory Councils (BEACs) will be meeting to help The Challenge Program, Inc. gear up for the 2015/2016 school year. Our BEACs consist of local educators and business partners from each of our territories who share ideas that help us fulfill our mission in participating high schools.

The first BEAC meeting was held on Monday, August  10 at the Range Resources headquarters in Cecil, PA. There, BEAC members weighed in our new Orientation Assembly script as well as using social media to keep students engaged with the  program throughout the year. They were also introduced to our updated mission statement and new website.

Those in attendance were Grace Lani (Canon-McMillan School District), Nick Beresh (WesBanco), Mary Adams (Western Area CTC), Christina Colallilo and Kylie Sanders (Range Resources), Marie Montecalvo (Washington High School), Karen Cosner (Greene County CTC), James Miller (FTSI), Emmeline Powers and Kate McNamara (Dynamet, Inc.), and Kurt Kesneck (Chartiers-Houston High School).

Thanks to our BEACs for your input! We will kick-off our first Orientation Assembly on August 26, so stay tuned for more details!
