Attorney at Law, The Burns Law Firm
Mr. Burns is the founder of a general practice law firm based in Ebensburg (Cambria County). Prior to opening his own law practice, he served as a judicial law clerk to two Cambria County Judges and was an associate attorney in the prominent Johnstown-based law firm of Spence, Custer, Saylor, Wolfe and Rose.
Mr. Burns is an active member of his local community, serving as the solicitor for a number of non-profit organizations and churches, including the Roxbury Bandshell Preservation Alliance. He also serves on the Cultural Affairs Committee of the Greater Johnstown Chamber of Commerce, and has held a number of leadership positions in the Pennsylvania Bar Association, including State Chairperson of the Association’s Young Lawyers Division.
Mr. Burns has been recognized by Johnstown Magazine as an “Up and Comer 35 and Under,” by Johnstown Business Weekly in its “Success by 35” column, and by Philadelphia Magazine and Law and Politics Magazine as a “Rising Legal Star Under 40” from 2005-2009. In 2005, he was the youngest recipient of the Cambria County Bar Association’s President’s Award for Community Service. He received his BS in Political Science and Certification in Secondary Education from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, and earned his Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.
Mr. Moran is an associate at Andrews and Beard. He is a graduate of Duquesne University School of Law, Pittsburgh, and received his Bachelor Degree in Secondary Education from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Mr. Moran is licensed before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the Federal District Courts for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Moran concentrates his practice in the areas of education law, labor and employment law and municipal law. Mr. Moran has represented School Districts
around the State of Pennsylvania in local agency hearings, negotiations, tax assessment appeals, and all other general solicitorship issues. Prior to joining the firm, he worked for the law firm of Caputo & Caputo in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He also served as a legal intern for the Pittsburgh City Councilman Bruce Kraus. Mr. Moran is a member of the Blair, Pennsylvania, and American Bar Associations.
Mr. Moran is an active member of his local community, serving as a Coach for the Altoona Area School District’s Mock Trial Team. He also is an active member in the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament Parish in Altoona, Pennsylvania, serving as a regular lector.
Mr. Moran has been recognized by the Altoona Mirror as a Top 20 Professional Under the Age 40 in the Blair County Region.
